The Vanguard is without a doubt one of the best carving machines in skateboarding. Vertically laminated bamboo makes the deck extremely strong and yet extremely resilient. This is an excellent board for carving up hills, steeps, and the simple trip up to the store. Just to top it off, the board is also environmentally friendly because bamboo, growing up to four feet a week, is very renewable. 42� or 38� x 8.5�, 35� or 31� wheelbase. Bottom graphics are as shown. Clear, sprayed-on grip. Newschool bolt pattern. Has camber and concave. This board is complete with the following:
Randal R-2 180mm trucks (with grade-8 kingpins and flat bushing washers)
Abec 11 Gumballs 76mm/78a wheels
Mad Max ABEC 5 sealed bearings
Stainless steel truss-head mounting hardware
42� Wider Stance Flex 1 is recommended for 175-230 pound riders. Flex 2 is recommended for 150-210 pound riders.
38� Medium Stance Flex 3 is recommended for 150-200 pound riders. Flex 4 is recommended for 120-170 pound riders. Flex 5 is recommended for 70-160 pound riders.
Construction:
Epoxy and Tri-axle fiberglass sandwich a vert-lam Bamboo core, pressed into concave and convex cambers for liveliness, responsiveness and high energy potential.
